Anniston police this morning were investigating a case of domestic violence in which a 22-year-old man reported being stabbed by his 18-year-old sister.

According to Anniston police Capt. Allen George, officers responded to a report of an assault on Sunday morning on the 1900 block of Rocky Hollow Road.

George said that after an argument between the siblings, the sister took a kitchen knife and stabbed the man in the leg. George said he did not know what the argument was about.

George said that after the woman stabbed her brother, she locked herself in her bedroom while her brother called police. George said officers arrived to find the woman had climbed out of her bedroom window.

According to George, the victim had a puncture wound 2 inches deep and 1 inch wide. Police found the knife in the kitchen sink, George said.

The victim was taken to Stringfellow Memorial Hospital, George said. George said he did not know the victim’s condition on Monday, but said he did not wish to press charges against his sister.
