It's no secret that members of the U.S. Congress, more often than not, are wealthy individuals. Some, such as Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., are doing quite well. (Issa's net worth is $464 million.)

According to the National Journal, a majority of congressmen are millionaires -- the first time that's ever happened. "At least 268 current members of Congress, out of 534, had an average 2012 net worth of at least $1 million. That's just a tiny bit more than half of the total. The congressional median net worth was $1,008,767," the NJ wrote.

In case you're curious, yes, you can use the same databases that the NJ used to see the finance reports of Alabama congressmen. For kicks and grins, here's the report of Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Saks. His net worth, according to opensecrets.org, is between $1,571,022 and $3,465,000.
