The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office today was investigating a burglary at Ohatchee Elementary School this weekend.

Two tablet computers, $140 in cash and a check for $70 were reported stolen Monday afternoon, according to Chief Deputy Matt Wade. After the suspect gained entry to the school, he used the master key to go from classroom to classroom, according to the deputy.

This is the second time the school has been burglarized this month, Wade said. Between Oct. 19 and Oct. 20, a school security camera captured footage of a male suspect roaming the halls after hours, Wade said. The suspect stole an Apple TV and $535 in cash, Wade said.

Nothing in the building was reported damaged, Wade said.

Wade said Monday afternoon that the Sheriff’s Office was still investigating the case. Any suspects could face felony burglary charges, according to a police report.
