Anniston police today were investigating a robbery in which a woman reported being threatened with a knife and a gun in her Anniston home Thursday evening.

According to Anniston police Capt. Allen George, the victim was in her laundry room when her brother and an unknown woman entered her home on the 1400 block of Christine Avenue between 6 p.m. and 6:20 p.m. and demanded money.

The victim told police that her brother had a pistol and the woman had a knife, George said.

George said there was no forced entry into the victim’s home.

The victim told police she gave the suspects $40, and the two left her home. The victim was not injured, the police report said.

The victim gave police her brother’s name, George said, and investigators were searching for him this morning.

Any suspects could face a first-degree robbery charge, a felony, according to a police report.
