No one was injured when a work truck belonging to the city of Anniston was discovered in a ditch this morning on McClellan Boulevard.

The truck belonged to the Anniston Parks and Recreation Department, according to Steven Folks, director of Parks and Recreation.

Folks said the accident was still under investigation by the Anniston Police Department this morning.

“We’re trying to figure out what happened,” he said.

According to Folks, two city employees were picking up trash in the median on McClellan Boulevard when they noticed their pickup truck was in a ditch near 29th Street.

Folks said the truck sustained “quite a bit of damage,” but he was thankful no one was injured.
