July Relish coming soon

The upcoming issue of Relish will include such features as “Fresh Summer Sauces” and “Food Hero: Project Green Fork.”

You’ll also find recipes for culinary creations like Chimichurri Grilled Beef, Smoky Eggplant with Chickpea Spread and Strawberry Fudge Ice Cream.

Look for the July issue of Relish in Thursday’s edition of The Anniston Star.

Blueberries, ripe for the picking

Jerry’s Berries is now officially open for the season.

Sun up to sundown, seven days a week, Jerry’s welcomes families, groups and berry lovers from all over to spend some time in the great outdoors picking delicious, organic blueberries from the family-owned berry patches.

Water, insect repellant and picking buckets are provided. Just be sure to bring a container to carry your harvest home. Berries are $10 a gallon.

Jerry’s Berries is located on Dogwood Lane in Jacksonville — look for the “U-Pick Blueberries” signs.

For more information, visit Jerry’s Berries Alabama on Facebook at www.facebook.com/degan.gilbert.
