Kingdom Place Ministries will host a Divine Healing Revival on Friday and Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Sunday beginning at 10:30 a.m. Childcare will be provided up to age 6 and the entire community is welcome to attend.

“About five months ago, God told me to put on a healing and deliverance revival,” said Marcus Dunn Sr., senior pastor of Kingdom Place. “I felt a lot like Moses.”

The event will include three guest speakers in addition to Dunn. Pastor Jackie McClain of Living by Faith Ministries in Oxford and Pastor Elizabeth Huguley of God’s Covenant Ministry International in Anniston will speak on Friday and Saturday. Dr. Kevin L. Betton of Temple of Praise Church Ministries, Inc. in Hinesville, Ga., will speak Sunday.

“We want people to come and bring their friends and family members, said Dunn. “The whole essence is for people to come to an atmosphere where God is and let people bring their faith.”

Emphasizing Bible passages that encourage people to trust the simple act of believing, Dunn envisions the revival taking place in a space draped in white linens.

After founding a youth outreach at Carver Community Center in 2002, Dunn and his wife, Pam, saw a need for a bigger community outreach and established Kingdom Place Ministries in 2003. Today, the nondenominational church offers a variety of programs including youth, couples and music ministries.

Dunn says he is passionate about the church’s mission of love and truth and hopes to reach out to members of the community this weekend.

“Everything ties to our faith,” said Dunn. “Faith should be linked to the word of God and the power of his word and nothing else.”
