ANNISTON — Funeral service for Mary E. Beaty, 87, will be noon Saturday, August 30, 2008, at Oakridge Baptist Church with Pastor Torail Jackson officiating. Burial will be in the Hobson City Cemetery with Goodson Funeral Home directing. Public visitation will be today from 1 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include daughter, Coldeney Young; five grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter, Cornelia Peagler; parents, Earlie and Everlene Wright; ten brothers; six sisters. www.goodsonfuneralhome.net

COFFEE

ANNISTON — Funeral services for Mrs. Janie Stacks Coffee, 72, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2008, at First Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Ronald C. Hardy officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary. Mrs. Coffee died Tuesday at her residence.

Survivors include one daughter, Dianh "Princess" Martinez and husband, Angel, of Petersburg, Va.; two sons, Bobby N. Coffee and wife, Sheila and George A. Coffee and wife, Trudy, both of Anniston; mother, Rosa Gentry Stacks; two sisters, Rosa Ferguson and Ruth Stacks Vaughn and husband Frank; three brothers, George "Buddy" Stacks and wife, Sandra, James Stacks and wife, Carolyn, and Donald Stacks and wife, Luann; six grandchildren, Stephanie Evans and husband, Phillip, George Coffee II and wife Tonya, Tony Coffee, Beth Thomason and husband, Chris, Joshua Coffee, and Aaron Martinez; eight great-grandchildren, Jordan Spiring, Dokota Spiring, Chase Evans, George "Big-Un" Coffee III, Kyle Coffee, Brooklee Coffee, Destinee Coffee, and Zeta Coffee; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Coffee is preceded in death by her husband, William I. Coffee; one sister, Elaine Vaughn; and one brother, Bill Stacks Jr.

Pallbearers will be George Coffee II, Tony Coffee, Aaron Martinez, Josh Coffee, Travis Stacks, Butch Vaughn, Phillip Evans, and Chris Thomason. Mrs. Coffee was a native and life long resident of Anniston and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, a board member at First Wesleyan Church, where she was a member, and work in a card ministry to the sick, shut-ins, and people who need spiritual up lifting.

CENTRE — Funeral services for Myrtle Peek Ferguson, 93, will be at 7 tonight at the Perry Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5-7 tonight at the funeral home.

FULLER

LINEVILLE — Funeral services for Mr. Guy Fuller, 88, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 30, 2008, at the Benefield Funeral Home Chapel in Lineville with The Revs. Gordon Taylor and Pete Grice officiating. Burial will follow in the Lineville City Cemetery. Mr. Fuller passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2008, at the Clay County Hospital. He was a native and lifelong resident of Randolph County, a veteran of the U.S. Army and had retired from Anniston Army Depot, where he was a Tank Mechanic Supervisor. Mr. Fuller was also a farmer and a member of the Liberty Church of Christ. He is survived by four sisters, Jeanette Mann of Anniston, Ethelene Richards of Oxford, Flossie Craft of Anniston, Patsy Fuller, of Slidell, LA; one brother, James Brewer Fuller (Mary), of Lineville; one sister-in-law, Jean Fuller, of Lineville; one brother-in-law, Tom Murry, of Gadsden plus a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Fuller was preceded in death by his wife, Kelsie Summerlin Fuller; one brother, Willard Fuller; one infant brother and three sisters, Evada Mims, Annie Murry and Maurice Fuller.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Fuller, Will Fuller, James Yarbrough Sr., James Yarbrough Jr., Tim Mathews and Chris Mathews. The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2008 and until service time on Saturday, August 30, 2008. DADE CITY — Lorraine Tozie Knighton, 82, passed away Monday, August 25, 2008, in Dade City. Hodges Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

HOBSON CITY — Funeral services for Charles McRath, 76, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 30, 2008, from the New Hope Baptist Church in Hobson City with the Rev. Dennis McKinney officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery with Ervin Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements. There will be no public viewing for Mr. McRath. Mr. McRath passed away Thursday, August 21, 2008, at his residence. Charles served in the Military for three years, taught school in Hobson City and White Plains and retired after many years. Charles played piano for Pilgrim Baptist Church for many years and directed the choir until his passing. His motto was "Let me do what I can while I can". He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted sister, Patsy (Milton) McClendon, of Hampton Ga.; a brother, Alfred McRath Sr., of Hobson City; sister-in-law, Letitia McRath, of St. Louis Mo. and many nieces, nephews and friends.
