BIRMINGHAM — A private graveside service will be at for infant Luna Elizabeth Barnhill who died August 13, 2008 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham. Luna is survived by her parents, Justin and Andra Barnhill, of Birmingham, grandparents, Tommy and Margaret Matthews, of Anniston, Andy and Donya Boullemet, of Oxford, Jimmy and Kris Barnhill, of North Carolina; great grandparents, Jean Gendron, of Oxford, Mary Simpson, of Alexandria, Frank and Bobbie Boullemet, of Oxford, Marion Sprayberry, of Anniston, uncle and aunt, Michael and Rebecca Barnhill, of Oxford, and cousins, Kinlea and Kathryn Barnhill. Miller Funeral Home & Crematory will be in charge of arrangements.

PELL CITY — Mr. James Steven "Steve" Bell, 33, died Wednesday, August 13, 2008, in Birmingham.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mrs. Monica D'Anna Bell; mother, Gussie Bell, of Bell City; brothers, Skip (Sandy) Bell, of Uriah, Scott (Gina), of Hope Hull, and Sam Bell, of Pell City. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Bell. Steve attended the University of Southern Mississippi, where he played football. He was a member of Pell City First Baptist Church.
Funeral services for Mr. Bell will be at 1 p.m. today, August 16, 2008, at First Baptist Church, Pell City with Father Grey Bean and Dr. John Thweatt officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Usrey Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. "ROLL TIDE"
DADEVILLE — Funeral services for George Clarence "Bill" Cleveland will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Langley Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be this evening from 5 - 7 p.m.
PIEDMONT — Funeral services for Mrs. Panna Cook Dempsey, 80, will be at 11 a.m. today, August 16, 2008, at Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. Rudy Ross and Dr. Harris Hand officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Mrs. Dempsey died Thursday, August 14, 2008, at Piedmont Health Care Center. She is survived by one son, Bruce Dempsey (Kaye), of Piedmont; two grandchildren, Andrew Dempsey (Pam) and Holly Dempsey, all of Piedmont; three great-grandchildren, Chandler Armstrong, Claudia Dempsey and Benjamin Dempsey; and two sisters, Jeanette Bryan, of Centre and Nell Baker, of Orlando, Florida.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Dempsey, Dr. John Roy Kirkpatrick, Nathaniel Houston, Thomas Roberts, Pace Armstrong and Danny Wilson. Honorary Pallbearer will be Chandler Armstrong. Mrs. Dempsey was a native and lifelong resident of Piedmont. She was a graduate of Piedmont High School and Jacksonville State University. She taught elementary school in the Piedmont City School System for over 30 years. She was an active member of the Piedmont Congregational Methodist Church and was an active supporter of the residents at Piedmont Health Care Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel V. Dempsey and a daughter, Dawn Dempsey.

ANNISTON — Funeral service for Shelly Kirby, 64, will be announced by Goodson Funeral Home. Mr. Kirby died Friday at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital.
BESSEMER — Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Lee Daugherty Luker, 79, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 17, 2008, at Mt.
