If you were in Jacksonville on Dec. 18 between 2:30 and 3 p.m., you may have noticed two men dangling from a helicopter overhead. Tony Phillips and Shane Hobbs were in the midst of a joint training mission between the Alabama State Trooper helicopter team and the Calhoun County Urban Search and Rescue Team.

Phillips, who played the victim for the exercise, was picked up along with Hobbs at the Jacksonville Fire Station. A long red rope, attached to the duo by harnesses was all that kept them aloft as the helicopter carried them across town to the Jacksonville Community Center where Hobbs and Phillips were carefully lowered to the ground to Keith Bryant and Chris Roberts.
