Don Wilson announces candidacy for BOE

07-15-2004

Jacksonville resident and Anniston City letter carrier Don Wilson announces plans to run for the Place 3 position on the Jacksonville City School Board.

Wilson is campaigning for the open seat vacated by Mike Limerick, who chose not to seek re-election.

Wilson’s wife Debra teaches third grade at Kitty Stone Elementary. They have been married for 22 years. His children also attend city schools. Matthew, 15, will enter 10th grade at Jacksonville High. Elizabeth, 11, will enter the sixth grade at Kitty Stone Elementary. Elizabeth and Matthew are involved in activities in the community.

Wilson and his family are members of the First Baptist Church. He says he has grown to love this community and wishes to take part in its continued success. If elected, his pledge will be to put the students of Jacksonville first, always looking after their best interests.
