Raider band plans performances

The Pleasant Valley Raider Band will perform in September at the Calhoun County band exhibition at Jacksonville State University and at the JSU homecoming parade and at the JSU Contest of Champions in October. Band members who excelled by maintaining their GPA and participating in all the season activities offered by the music department led by Pam Smith include Chase Hunt, scholarship; Michael Greenwood, Brianna Welch, Ciera Humphrey, Brian Dempsey and Chase Hunt, bars; and Jasmine Fleming, James Kilpatrick, Brett Shields, Josh Dillaha, Brett Langston, Dillon Floyd, Lanae Henegar, Nelson Garret, Ricky Maxwell, Courtney Wooten, Matt Tippens, Geoffrey Garrett, Jessica Shelton, Garrett Williams, Heather Johnson, Ashley Metcalfe and Hailey Uesry, letter; D. J. Roden, Troy Johnson and Anna Cole, marching certificate; and Leah Green, Matt Bledsoe and Ashley Johnson, district.
