Alabama Farmers Federation, Reps. Lea Fite, Randy Wood help Pleasant Valley program

08-20-2008

Alabama Farmers Federation president Jerry Newby presented a $10,000 check to superintendent of the Calhoun County Board of Education Dr. Judy Stiefel at the annual meeting of the Calhoun County Farmers Federation recently.

The check will help fund a new FFA/Ag program at Pleasant Valley High School and was given by the state Federation. Reps. Lea Fite and Randy Wood were also present and presented checks for $25,000 and $10,000, respectively, to Dr. Stiefel.

The directors of the county Federation have already presented a check for $20,000, and Sen. Del Marsh has pledged money for the project.
