Perfect Attendance

Photo: Anita Kilgore Devin Carter and Aubrey Kirk were recognized in a ceremony on Aug. 4 on the square for having perfect attendance in grades 1-6 at Kitty Stone Elementary School. Friends and family members gathered for the ceremony. Special guests were councilpersons George Areno, Truman Norred, Sandra Sudduth, Sonya Parris representing Jerry Parris and Charles Notar. School board members present were Kelly Haynes, Lori Tippets, Phillip Pearson and Sue Jones along with schoool board candidate Steve Smith. Both Devin and Kirk are members of Boy Scout Troop 19 under the leadership of Bob Bell who was also in attendance as well as other members of Troop 19. After the ceremony an ice cream reception was held at Cecil's. The boys are the sons of Aimee and Rance Kirk and Shawn and Lori Carter.
