Piano students excel in honors recital May 4

05-07-2008

Music at the Museum Series at the Anniston Museum of Natural History presented outstanding piano students from the area in an honors recital on Sunday afternoon, May 4. The annual recital showcases students of teachers in the Northeast Alabama Music Teachers Association, which sponsors workshops and opportunities for students to perform. Dr. Wendy Faughn of the Jacksonville State University Department of Music chairs the Music Series at the museum.

Piano students of Susie F. Dempsey of Jacksonville and Karolyn Rice of Anniston were invited to perform. All received outstanding ratings in the Alabama Music Teacher Association district auditions at Snead State College in April and will audition at the state level in May.
