'Lost' stars seek a little more incentive to work their magic

08-13-2008

ABC Studios, which produces the hit show Lost, has opened contract negotiations with series stars Matthew Fox and Evangeline Lilly. The two actors currently make about $150,000 apiece per episode of the castaway thriller and are seeking raises, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The talks may end up costing the studio more than it planned, however: The trade paper says that when word got out about negotiations with Lilly and Fox, representatives for several other cast members asked to renegotiate as well.

Fox's Jack Shephard and Lilly's Kate Austen have been central to the Lost mythology from the show's start. Two seasons of the show remain; season five will debut early next year.
