I live in Alaska. My family resides in Anniston. My mother passed away in May of 2007. My father recently passed away last month. To give a bit of history, my parents were great providers, and thru there actions made me the man I have become. I will love them without reservation for this. Since my mother passed, my father went thru many changes. He bought expensive things, he became a spur of the moment guy, and announced engagement to another within 6 months of my mothers death. Dad was not rich, however he did not have debt, so everything he had was paid for. When mom passed, dad redid his will, that left everything to me and my brother – with stipulations for his 3 blood grandchildren. Since the new wife (Jessie) came around, the will has changed 3 times, up to her getting everything. So be it. Me and my brother never wanted any finacial gain from our parents deaths. By my account between the house, vehicles and items they had prior to passing, plus life insurance, there is between 50000.00 to 75000.00 worth of assets. I asked only for the family pictures and my brother asked for my dads military stuff and his and moms ashes. After I left, the new wife (jessie) refused to give my brother the ribbons from dads uniform from his cermation cerimony, our mothers ashes, and has decided to send dad to arlington. This was not his wishes. My brother has since decided to take legal action. There is a whole lot more to the story as the vehicles dad had are a 2008 shelby cobra mustang, 2007 toyota tundra and a 2008 motorcycle that were to be sold and split between his and his grandchildren that she went out and cashed in the extended warrenties. Stuff like that. My brother and I would rather a lawyer get it all than this woman get anything since she could not honor his last wishes. Comments would be appreciated.
