Display ads are available in four standard sizes:

Tower ads are our highest visibility position. Each tower appears on the far right side of each page and does not share real estate with any other page content. Non-scrolling towers, available on most newspaper sections, are always "above the fold," appearing on the screen even when visitors scroll down. Only one Tower is available for each section.

The Big Box appears on index and story pages just below the main content. Although this placement is "below the fold," the large size of this ad makes it hard for readers to miss. It's a high-impact position giving you plenty of room to get your message across. This is a rotating position. Because only one ad appears at a time, Big Box ads do not compete with one another for attention.

Rectangles appear "above the fold" in the right column, next to story content and immediately below the "Services" menu — a high-visibility, high-impact position. This is a rotating position. Because only one ad appears at a time, Rectangle ads do not compete with one another for attention. Rectangles are not available within the Classifieds section.

Tiles, which appear in the far-right sidebar, are our most economical banner ad position. This is a rotating position. Because only one ad appears at a time, Tile ads do not compete with one another for attention. Subsection targeting is not available for this position.

Ad Restrictions

• We welcome tasteful animated ads; however, blinking, flashing or otherwise distracting ads are not permitted. Animations should be limited to 15 seconds.
• We do not accept ads that mimic system error messages and alerts.
• We do not accept ads that chime, buzz or make other loud, distracting noises.
• We do not accept pop-up or pop-under ads.
• We do not accept ads for pornographic sites, male enhancement products, online gambling, online classifieds, alcohol or tobacco products, or sites that offer malware or pirated software.
• We reserve the right to refuse ads for any reason.
